Successful Practices
FREE Partnerships will collaborate with Rochester community organizations to define and document successful practices for community – school partnerships. FREE Partnerships will also provide key services to support partnership successful practices. The most effective school partnerships will demonstrate the following seven practices:
- Commitment to Partnership – by the community organization and by the school
- Regular meetings of a Partnership Committee
- Effective volunteer management
- Focus volunteer activities for optimum impact on student academic performance
- Volunteer and teacher training
- Parental involvement
- Program evaluation
